This is the first course being held on machine maintenance for the FLEXO. Future courses will be held on different machine sections with technicians from various member suppliers. These courses will be taught to the machine section, not the machine brand. Any attendee will be able to apply what they have learned to their machine in-plant. Protecting the investment that you make in equipment is a requirement in a box plant that is often overlooked due to high production demands. Normal operation of your equipment causes continuous wear of press parts even under the best of conditions. Abrasive inks, substrates, and dust only accelerate the wearing process and the related quality problems. Neglecting scheduled maintenance may interrupt your production schedule during busy times, instead of planned maintenance during manageable downtime. Additionally, not maintaining the equipment is costing your company press efficiency and increased waste while operators are trying to adjust settings. A preventative maintenance program will help keep your equipment stable and operating within acceptable quality limits.
