In October 2003 Clemson University and the International Corrugated Packaging Foundation dedicated a new 3-color Martin NT Flexo Rotary Die Cutter donated by the ICPF in partnership with Martin S.A. and Bobst USA. As a result a new training class has been developed by Clemson University’s Graphic Communications Department to give industry employees a comprehensive, hands-on approach to quality printing and die cutting fundamentals. Classes are hosted in a professional atmosphere that promotes teamwork to further the learning process. The high ratio of on press time ensures all attendees are learning by doing. This course is also of tremendous value to supervisors and managers and those who need a refresher course.

Benefits:

    Participants learn
  • A systematic approach that enables them to standardize changeovers and printing back at the plant
  • The theory behind the practice to improve problem solving skills
  • Troubleshooting skills to identify and correct common die cutting and printing problems.
