Enhanced Graphics on Corrugated

For new or seasoned flexo press operators, press supervisors and other plant production personnel

More than ten years ago, the leaders and visionaries of the International Corrugated Packaging Foundation (ICPF) saw the need for hands-on training in flexographic printing in packaging schools and enlisted the support of the Bobst Group to donate the press to the Foundation. In 1994, the press was installed at Clemson University. Since February 1997, AICC members have benefited from this hands-on training where participants function as a press crew. The course has been established to encourage participants to think about, observe, question and analyze the printing process with the emphasis on quality. Combining press work with classroom discussion, the “Flexo” course allows participants to work on a 4-color Bobst 160 press, set up the press, discuss various theories on printing enhanced graphics, and experiment with the various inks and substrates available.
