The AICC 2010 Spring Meeting will feature a three-day series of eye openers, general sessions, networking and social events.      
This spring AICC will focus on Authenticity.  Authenticity stems from authentic leadership; commitment, accountability and attention to results.  Our excellent line-up of keynote and industry speakers will discuss the importance of being authentic in your business and share their proven strategies and tactics with take home value to implement in your own companies.  
The AICC 2010 Spring Meeting is being co-located with the Fibre Box Association (FBA) 2010 Annual Meeting. By co-locating the meetings attendees receive maximum networking opportunities while allowing for convenience of travel, overall cost savings and added value. For the first time both AICC & FBA will hold a joint general session and golf tournament.  Registration for the meeting will open in early January 2010 and will be available at www.aiccbox.org/meeting. The expiration of the black liquor tax credit – and not a legitimate increase in market demand -- is providing the primary reason for the announced increases in containerboard prices reported in the press in recent weeks.  The Association of Independent Corrugated Converters (AICC) believes this is an unfortunate message to be sending to the containerboard industry’s customer base:  that it cannot earn a decent return on investment absent a government supplied tax credit, and so it has to raise containerboard prices without regard to what’s happening in the market.
AICC has reached this conclusion simply by reading our industry’s analysts whose commentaries have focused mainly on the expiration of the black liquor tax credits instead of industry fundamentals.  Writes one analyst:...Read more...
The Dollars and Sense of Corrugated Seminar takes place Thursday, December, This is AICC’s first ever Financial training course for those employees involved in Financial aspects of the business. The entire curriculum will be based upon case studies and will focus on topics designed to give your senior management a better understanding of your company’s financial strategy.
The AICC sales webinar series New Business / Account Growth continues Friday, December 18th, 2009. The webinar titled The Sales Cycle looks in depth at the sales cycle, including understanding the time ine, creating and plan of attack for each sales and more.  The thrid and final webinar fo hte series takes place on Friday, January 22nd, 2010 with It's Not the Product, It's the Experience.

Several members have inquired about the new Rules – National Motor Freight Traffic Association (NMFTA) Rule 222-1 and 680 – regarding numbered packaging.  Most were alerted by an article in Logistics Management – Click here to access article.  Unless you are in the special commodities and numbered packaging business you can ignore this announcement.  The link below leads to explanation of the new rule provided by Erin Topper of the NMFTA.  If you have any concerns you may contact Ralph Young.
