The AICC 2010 Spring Meeting is being co-located with the Fibre Box Association 2010 Annual Meeting and held in conjunction with the AICC Exceeding Customer Expectations customer service seminar.
Several well-run box companies have managed in the past year to gain market share while increasing profitability. They have done this in a down market with fewer people doing more and by doing more at a higher level than their competition. This is a positive thing. Yet simultaneously, these companies are feeling productivity demands quite acutely as they move forward into the still uncertain economic future... Read complete article.

In response to member questions about performance properties of linerboard and corrugating medium, AICC’s Containerboard, Regulations and Sheet Supply Committee is developing a series of templates outlining the significant physical containerboard performance specifications which are critical to box performance. These templates, which will be available to members for a nominal fee, will allow members to better compare the different attributes of containerboard now available in the marketplace.  AICC Technical Advisor Ralph Young has been working on this using data from AF&PA Continuous Baseline Report, and member use of these tools will also include available consultation to better understand attributes of paper grades which are specific to individual paper machines at each mill site. For more information, contact AICC Technical Advisor Ralph Young.
This report is based on data from 144 independent corrugator and sheet plants. These companies employ 14,224 full-time employees spread across all 11 AICC regions. All responses to this survey were collected and compiled by Association Research, Inc., Rockville, Maryland, and have been held in strictest confidence. Read More…
