3rd C’board Increase puts the Integrity of Our Industry
on the Line

Weeks of Wall Street’s tight-market cheerleading have moved nearly all the major suppliers to announce a third increase this year in the price of containerboard. While the Association of Independent Corrugated Converters (AICC) acknowledges the current market conditions, we also believe that a third increase in a six-month span is an unnecessary burden both on independent purchasers of containerboard and sheets and the customer base we serve. AICC to Host Washington Fly-in during ‘Corrugated Week’ in Baltimore, MD on Tuesday, October 5, 2010

The Association of Independent Corrugated Converters (AICC) will host a Corrugated Industry Washington Fly-in on Tuesday, October 5, immediately preceding its 2010 Annual Meeting, October 6-8, in Baltimore, Maryland. The day-long visit to Capitol Hill will allow those attending the AICC-TAPPI Corrugated Week in Baltimore to meet with their Congressional representatives and senators in the final weeks before the November elections to discuss issues important to the corrugated packaging manufacturing sector. The Association of Independent Corrugated Converters (AICC) and Board Converting (BCN) News announce the Call for Entries for the 2010 Innovator of the Year Competition

The 2010 Innovator of the Year competition category focuses on non-machinery innovations that supplier members have developed since October 2006. The competition provides an outlet for AICC's industry supplier members to showcase non-machinery innovations including, but not limited to: computer systems, software and consulting; linerboards and new substrates; quality and management controls; administrative support; financial services; etc. In other words, any innovation that adds value to the board, and/or a non-corrugating machinery product innovation that may touch the board, and/or a machine that produces production-run converted products.
