Recognizing Safety Excellence

The Independent Safe Shop Awards recognizes AICC Member Companies for outstanding performance in plant safety over the last year. The call for applications opens in January and the winners are awarded at the Spring Meeting.

At the 2025 Spring Meeting we recognized members with the OSHA Recordable Incident Rate of less than 2.4 and the OSHA Lost Work Days Incident Rate of 0 (zero).

Prior to the Independent Safe Shop Awards, which launched in 2017, AICC held the Operation Safe Shop Competition. This was a biannual competition recognizing members by category: corrugator plant, sheet supplier, sheet plant less than 50 employees, sheet plant greater than 50 employees, folding carton operation, and rigid box maker.
