2014 OPERATION SAFE SHOP COMPETITION
Recognizing Safety Excellence
2014 Operation Safe Shop Application
Deadline for entries is February 21, 2014
AICC announces that the 2014 Operation Safe Shop Competition has started. Conducted every two years, the Competition draws entries from independent corrugator, sheet, folding carton and rigid box plants in a nationwide effort to focus on key elements of box plant safety, such as a company's overall safety policy, owner commitment, safety practices, training procedures, safety awareness methods, accident prevention techniques, maintenance programs, among others. The purpose of the Safe Shop competition is to generate a greater awareness, enthusiasm and pride for the safety accomplishments that member plants have achieved. This is also an opportunity for the safety stars in the corrugated industry to shine and be recognized for outstanding performance in box plant safety.
Awards for the 2014 Competition will be presented during the AICC 2014 Spring Meeting, April 2-4, 2014, The Gaylord Opryland Resort, Nashville, Tennessee.
NEW in 2014! Members who participate in the Operation Safe Shop Competition will receive a 20% discount for an online training course at AICC’s Packaging University.

Corrugated Container Industry Annual Report of Occupational Injuries and Illnesses, And Safety Awards Program
AICC and FBA encourage your participation. The report, which compiles recordable injuries and illnesses data for employees engaged in the manufacture of corrugated and solid fiber products, will be published in March, 2014. The report is issued only to companies and plants that participate in the program by providing data.
Plants that participate in the Report are also eligible for Annual Corrugated Industry Safety Awards. The Association of Independent Corrugated Converters (AICC) and the Fibre Box Association (FBA) jointly sponsor the Safety Awards Program, making it truly a corrugated industry safety recognition.
