MACHINERY CATEGORY
The machinery-based competition seeks converting machinery innovations only in the fields of corrugating and related operations, flatbed and rotary diecutting, printing equipment, labeling and laminating, folding/gluing and other related finishing operations. In short, virtually any machine operation in the plant is qualified for entry in this competition.

"Machinery" is defined as the products and services directly involved in the actual mechanical converting process in a boxplant. "Mechanical" covers all operations that involve direct contact with linerboard, corrugating medium, and/or combined corrugated board, that would include printing, cutting, creasing, scoring, stitching, gluing, etc.
