  • - Brief introduction to Lean manufacturing principles
  • - Do you need additional capability or capacity?
  • - Break
  • - Overview of Overall Equipment Effectiveness to find hidden machine capacity
  • - Visit SCE Show to "measure "OEE on two displayed machines and to interview the representatives on matters effecting OEE
  • 11:00 am - return to training room set expectations for Wednesday and adjourn

Wednesday, October 3, 2012

  • 7:30 am - Continental Breakfast (located in room)
  • 8:00 am - Questions and observations from Day 1,
  • (including Projected OEE calculation for Machines seen at the show)
  • - Calculation for participant machine OEE (based on pre-work by participants) and discussion of the data 's prescription for improvement.
  • - Break
  • - Case Studies showing improvement gained by companies implementing Lean strategies to improve Availability, Productivity, and Quality
  • - The Changeover Effect, adapting OEE for the job shop.
  • 11:00 am - Adjourn
