The new training center allows American to offer customers a full menu of training options. Historically Customer On-Site Training has been the preferred option for converting companies. The main benefit of this type of training is that more than one operator can participate without added travel expenses being incurred by the employer. Past experience has shown that this type of program, though financially conservative, lends itself to inconsistent or less than expected levels of training. Operators get cheated out of training hours because they (or the machine) are too accessible for emergent production issues or questions. Watching production run does not teach new skills or solidify old ones. Closed Group Training at the Signature Training Center involves only operators from the same company, promotes team building, and keeps specific product information private from competitors. Open Group Training at the Signature Training Center involves a group of operators from multiple companies which offers the best learning experience. Operators learn skills and tricks, not only from the trainer, but from other operators in the industry experiencing the same challenges they are. At the end of the day, skill levels will vary from operator to operator. Regardless of the formal training program selected, the primary goal is to close the gap between these levels as much as possible.

Most folder gluer purchases include a detailed training program to get the customer up and running on their new machine within a week or two.
