AICC, The Independent Packaging Association, is working with industry researchers Karstedt Partners and Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) to better understand the attitudes, perceptions, and issues related to digital printing for corrugated packaging from those on the front lines of corrugated converting.

Corrugated converting members are invited to take this short and confidential online survey. Those who participate will receive the full report of the findings and the AICC may have Karstedt Partners present on the findings at an upcoming meeting or an AICC sponsored webinar.

What Participants Will Learn

  • The installed base for flatbed digital printing presses in North America at Corrugated Converters is estimated at approximately 80. The introduction, and installation, of single pass presses, in both web and sheet platforms, has now doubled the capacity of digital production. How are packaging buyers, converters, and suppliers responding to this influx in capacity?
  • How is digital printing being positioned in the market? What are the implications to your printed packaging operations? What is the future of litho label and litho laminate products? How is the decision being made on where and how to position digital printing?
  • How do you plan to engage? Whether you plan on investing in digital printing, or sourcing your digital requirements from a third party, digital printing for corrugated packaging is being discussed at all levels of the supply chain. The industry desires your assistance in helping to frame the discussion. What role, if any, can digital printing play to elevate corrugated demand and industry profits?

In addition to the corrugated packaging sector the research is looking at the folding carton and flexible packaging sectors with surveys going out to those companies separately.

All responses will be confidential with data used in aggregate only.

AICC will email the survey link to members. It can also be received by a request sent to
