 Our Mexico Region 14 meeting will take place in the NH Monterrey Hotel in the beautiful city of Monterrey, Mexico.
AICC Mexico will hold its seventh annual meeting April 24-25, 2008, at the NH Monterrey Hotel, Monterrey, Mexico, announced by Juan Javier Gonzalez, President of Cajas y Empaques Modernos in Mexico City and Regional Director for AICC Mexico.
The two-day program will feature specialized training for sales and production managers. In addition a plant tour to Cajas de Carton Sultana, S.A. de C.V., followed by several key industry speakers, and a trade fair sponsored by AICC Mexico’s supplier members is scheduled. Read more |

Now Available! The Second Edition of "Understanding Your Customer’s Performance Requirements" (ECT brochure).

The Association of Independent Corrugated Converters (AICC) and the Fibre Box Association (FBA) recently joined efforts to create a new and improved Second Edition of the brochure, “Understanding the Performance Requirements of Your Customer’s Packaging.”
This updated 12-page brochure, originally created in 2002, is designed to enable box plant production, design and sales personnel to better understand the factors affecting ECT, why it is important to know about customers’ products and the customers’ distribution systems, and how ECT board combinations can best meet customers’ needs. It details critical performance measures and indicates their significance in the production process, as well as laying out a logical path for the box maker to follow when developing solutions for customer stacking strength and containment questions.

The Association of Independent Corrugated Converters (AICC) and Efficient Collaborative Retail Marketing (ECRM) are pleased to announce an agreement to offer their Sustainable Packaging Scorecard training directly to AICC members. ECRM and their partner MARSPKG will provide a one-day training workshop specially designed for the corrugated industry that will explain how utilizing Wal-Mart's Sustainable Packaging Scorecard can improve designability and earn new business. Sales Training Class Schedule Announced

AICC will be conducting sales training programs for corrugated and other paper industry sales people. Called Renewing Your Sales Force and developed by the well-known sales training firm, Huthwaite Inc., founded by Neil Rackham, this comprehensive training is divided into two programs.Intermediate Level, for sales people with 18 months to 5 years experience, and Advanced Level for those with over 5 years experience. The Intermediate Level sales training will be held on March 20-21, 2008, in Dallas, Texas (more information) and the Advanced Level sales training will take place May 15-16, 2008, in Chicago, Illinois(more information) .

New Designers’ Workshop to Include UPS Tour

AICC offers its third Designers’ Workshop for structural designers and sales staff in the corrugated industry, to be held Thursday and Friday, May 15-16, in Chicago, Illinois. The learning goals of the program are to strengthen the designers’ knowledge in raw materials, testing and production processes and to understand the reasonable and practical limitations in moving from design to production. Discussions will be scheduled on developing sustainable packaging initiatives and the current state of the industry. Attendees will also engage in a private tour of the United Parcel Service (UPS) Chicago Area Consolidated Hub (CACH) operations and the UPS Customer Solutions Package Design and Test Lab. click here.
