With a new presidential administration comes a new emphasis on labor and immigration enforcement. A new I-9 form was released July 2017, and along with it, new instructions on verifying employees’ status on completing the form. New regulations make the process even more complicated, allowing some employment authorized foreign nationals to extend their work authorization automatically.
The webinar will help participants answer:
Is your company e-verify registered?
How do these changes affect your e-verify procedures?
What should you do if you receive a subpoena or notice of inspection from DHS?
Can you correct i-9s? Best practices in completing the new I-9 will also be discussed.
