Once in a group, there is inherent pressure to conform to the social norms of its members. The question is how do we create groups that others want to join? Whether it’s recruiting new talent, convincing customers you’re an elite provider, or changing culture, how do we sell exclusiveness and create social norms that are advantageous to our business?

Trent Halasek, Sales Manager, Akers Packaging Service Group

Trent started his career in the corrugated industry after graduating college form the University of Kentucky. Unlike many AICC members, Trent had no prior connections or family members in the industry. Trent started his career in accounting, but management and leadership roles were his true calling. Fast forward several years, at 30-years old, Trent became the General Manager of a sheet plant in Louisville, KY before taking his current role as Sales Manager for one of the most advanced, well run, full-line box plants in the country with Akers Packaging – Middletown. Trent currently lives in suburban Cincinnati with his wife and three children.
