After its proposal to acquire a Dublin-based company was rejected earlier this week, International Paper remains “excited about the opportunity.”
Smurfit Kappa Group PLC — a producer of paper-based packaging — announced March 6 it turned down an acquisition proposal from Memphis-based International Paper Co. (IP), saying the proposed terms did “not reflect the group’s true intrinsic business worth or its prospect.”
