Obituary, Al McCann – Past Geo. Martin Service Manager

Al McCann, former Service Manager of Geo. M. Martin Company passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, March 23, 2018. He was 66. A long time employee of Geo. Martin, Al started as an electrical technician wiring new equipment on the shop floor before spending many years as a Field Service Technician for the company. In 1992 Al was promoted to the position of Field Service Manager which he held until his retirement in July 2017. In total Al invested 44 years with Geo. M. Martin building, installing, servicing and supporting Geo. M. Martin customers and their equipment.

Outside of work, Al loved spending time with his daughters, grandchildren and three cocker spaniels. He also enjoyed showing and taking road trips in his Audi TT sports car which he frequently raced at Sears Point.

"Al will be deeply missed by everyone at Geo. Martin as well as so many of our customers,” states Bob Morgan – past President and member of Geo. Martin’s Board of Directors. "He was a direct point of contact for our customers. When there were technical questions or service needs, Al was often the first one the customers turned to for assistance. Our sincerest sympathies go out to Al’s family and friends.”
