Corrugated Week Offers Exclusive Events & Training for Next Generation of Packaging Professionals

AICC Emerging Leaders and TAPPI Young Professionals be offered exclusive networking opportunities, the latest educational programs, and the best career development resources during AICC/ TAPPI Corrugated Week, September 24-27, at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, Ind.
AICC, The Independent Packaging Association and TAPPI have put together several exclusive events, most of which are included in the conference registration for AICC’s Emerging Leaders & TAPPI’s Young Professionals. They include:
- Kickoff VIP Reception | Monday, September 24 (5:30 pm – 6:00 pm) This VIP Reception brings the two groups together with experienced industry professionals to begin their conference experience.
- Private Lunch, Exhibit Tour & Creative Scavenger Hunt | Tuesday, September 25 (11:30 am – 4:00 pm) The groups will enjoy a private lunch and tour of the impressive exhibit floor.
- Training Sessions | Wednesday, September, 26 (7:45 am – 9:15 am) As the week continues, members of the Emerging Leaders and Young Professionals are offered career specific training sessions on Wednesday morning with Mary Ann Hansen, Paper + Packaging Board, reporting on their advocacy on behalf of the industry to create greater market demand. Then Tonya Kowa-Morelli, President and Joe Morelli, VP Sales & Marketing, Huston Patterson Printers will discuss their strategies and struggles in “Navigating the Challenges of Balancing Family Business, Business Leadership, and Home Life.” This topic is on the minds of most young professionals who juggle workloads, manage relationships and family responsibilities, and try to find time for hobbies and fitness.
- Optional Emerging Leaders/ Young Professionals Networking Event at networking at Punch Bowl Social | Wednesday, September 26 (6:00 pm – 9:00 pm)
All Emerging Leaders and Young Professionals are encouraged to add the optional activity for Wednesday evening that includes a night of fun, games and networking at Punch Bowl Social. Attendees will have exclusive access to bowling lanes, the Dart Lounge, ping pong, Bonzini, Connect Four, Karaoke, and shuffle board.
This year’s conference has over 180 industry exhibitors who will share the latest on industry trends and development, hands-on demonstrations, and real solutions for the modern boxplant.
