Introduction to Flexography and Print Assessment

Course Description:
Any staff with the need to understand color specifications or evaluate and manipulate ink on press to obtain customer specified color or approvals.

Instructor:
Cordes Porcher is a Graphics/Process Specialist on corrugated for Check Five Productions. He has traveled nationally and internationally helping the post-print and pre-print industry improve and understand their processes. This is accomplished through hands on trouble shooting, testing, research and training. He is known for his work as the Facility Director for Clemson University's Printing and Converting Research Center. Cordes developed and administered the program, delivered training and testing for the post-print corrugated industry and directed day to day operations. He is regularly involved in judging print competitions for TAPPI, AICC, Package Printing, and FTA. He has also published numerous articles pertaining to the reproduction of images with the flexographic process and has presented many seminars pertaining to the same. He is a recipient of the Top Cat award from Clemson University for service to the Graphic Communications Program.

The focus of this program is to provide a background in Flexography to those who may have never had a formal opportunity to do so and for others, a refresher or possibly a way to look at the process differently.
