The American Forest & Paper Association released its October 2018 Containerboard Monthly report on 15th November. Containerboard production was up 0.5% compared to October 2017 and up 1.8% year-to-date. The month-over-month average daily production compared to September 2018 was 1.5% lower. The containerboard operating rate was 96.2%, 1.6% lower than the same month last year. Production for export decreased 13.3% from September 2018 after three consecutive increasesbut was still up 1.0% year-to-date.
