August 27, 2019 – AICC, The Independent Packaging Association, has released La Eficiencia General del Equipo en la Industria del Empaque (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), a new free online course available in Spanish to AICC members.

In Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), a course also available in English, OEE is defined and shown to be a balanced and practical measurement for productivity. Scott Heilmann walks us through the steps to gather baseline measures, calculate OEE, quantify related savings, compensate for the changeover effect, and set motivating production goals.

“An online OEE course is an example of the broad range of AICC’s online education program. Spanish translation of this and similar courses is another way AICC makes our members successful,” said Michael D’Angelo, AICC President.

AICC thanks Marco Ferrara and his team at Cajas De Carton Sultana, S.A. De C.V. and Juan Javier Gonzalez and Samuel Garcia Gonzalez of Cartro, S.A.P.I De C.V. for their support in the translation of this valuable course.

Other courses coming soon include Cómo especificar una caja (How to Spec a Box) and Reducción de configuración (Set Up Reduction). This Fall AICC will release Spanish translations of Optimizing the Flexo Printing Process and Essential Principles of Water-Based Flexo Inks, created by AICC Education Investor BCM Inks.
