AICC Members Understand and Sell Digital Print

February 27, 2020 – AICC, The Independent Packaging Association, recently offered two educational programs focused on digital printing: Selling Digital Print and Digital Printing for Brown Box Markets.

Selling Digital Print, a new seminar,informed nearly 20 sales and packaging professionals on details of advanced strategies for prospecting and closing sales of packaging that is produced digitally, was held February 5-6, 2020, in Bentonville, AR.

Attendees learned basic knowledge of digital printing techniques, and applications for those technologies in normal selling channels and well as new ways to open up more business. Participants also learned how to advance the sale past the packaging buyers and reach brand managers.

Leslie Pickering, Co-Owner, Quadrant5 and John Ballentine, Co-Founder, Tango Press, LLC were the facilitators for the seminar.

Guest speakers Westley Simpson, Sr. Manager - Packaging of Sam's Club spoke about procurement and retail while David Hinton, Associate Director of Technology Ventures spoke on innovation and disruption.

The two-day training will included a reception at Tango Press, which offers 100% digital printing and converting solutions.

Digital Printing for Brown Box Markets, a webinar held February 13, brought together over 40 AICC member companies to learn from Stu Brownell, Director of Corrugated Applications, Digital Print Incorporated.

The webinar was developed to help packaging professionals understand what brown box manufacturers can do with digital printing and the technology available, explained the value digital printing brings to brown box makers today, offered a comparison of digital printing to flexo post printing for brown boxes, including cost, efficiency, and quality, and the future of inkjet printing for corrugated brown box makers.
