AICC - Members Get 15% Discount at Fastmarkets RISI ICC LatAm Conference in Mexico Cityy

Regional leaders in the Latin American packaging industry are getting ready to gather in Mexico City at Fastmarkets RISI’s International Containerboard Conference (ICC Latin America), with representatives from Smurfit Kappa, Grupo Gondi, WestRock, and several corrugated board producers already confirmed for the lineup. In its first edition to take place in Mexico, ICC Latin America will gather dozens of key players in the containerboard and corrugated markets during two days of discussions from Mar. 26-27.

A CEO panel on the afternoon of the first day will bring insights on the perspectives for the Latin American industry, analyzing the consequences of increasing paper supply in the region as well as expectations for demand. The opening presentation will be given by Jose Ivan Rodriguez-Sanchez, research fellow in international trade for the Baker Institute. The economist will talk about the perspectives for the Latin American economy, the regional exchange with USA and volatility of local currencies.

Among other key topics will be a panel on innovation and development within packaging, including major producers' initiatives towards high-quality printing and new technologies, as well as the impact of paper machine conversions from printing and writing to containerboard, and how growing environmental concerns are shaping the global sector.

The event will also bring to attendees the opportunity of getting the latest Fastmarkets RISI market outlooks direct from economists on-site, including supply and demand perspectives.
