March 24, 2020 – AICC, The Independent Packaging Association, after receiving several inquiries from members around the country in response to the most recent developments in the coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic, hosted its first weekly videoconference on Friday, March 20. Nearly 400 companies participated. Several members shared the measures they are taking to keep their employees safe, their customers informed, and their operations continuing. Most of the hour-long forum was filled with peer to peer questions and answers.
A recording of the videoconference and a copy of the typed “chat” that accompanied it are available at www.AICCbox.org/COVID.
In an effort to provide timely information and allow the industry to discuss common concerns and solutions to the challenges posed by this national emergency, AICC will hold a national audio and video conference call for the next three weeks every Friday at 2 p.m. ET. Dial-in information will be posted at www.AICCbox.org/COVID the Tuesday before the videoconference.
In these calls, AICC will:
- Present the latest updates.
- Present a forum sharing other boxmakers’ and suppliers’ efforts to mitigate the risks in their own companies.
- Present news on what may be happening in various jurisdictions around the country.
- Provide training opportunities for those who are not able to travel due to restrictions.
AICC is offering these calls at no charge to the industry so that everyone has access to this important information.
AICC will also provide daily packaging industry COVID-19 updates at www.AICCbox.org/COVID.
