It is with great regret that I have to inform you that our FEFCO Summit 2020 will be postponed to 2022, due to the current situation and the ban of the Dutch government to hold any kind of meeting until June 1, 2020.
We experienced a rather difficult attitude when negotiating with the NH Hotel Amsterdam during the last days; if you face difficulties in canceling your room, please claim “force majeure”; the main legal arguments:
- The epidemic disease is external to you. It is clear in this case that you have nothing to do with the happening of the disease.
- The epidemic disease was unpredictable at the time of the signing of the contract.
- The epidemic disease is irresistible: the consequences of the epidemic disease are unpreventable.
As far as your fees for the summit are concerned: we will come back during the next days to inform you about the technicalities of your refund.
We would like to thank all that were involved in the preparation, namely the Dutch association, as much as the FEFCO team, who had worked hard to create a wonderful event in Amsterdam. We are confident that the new Summit in 2022 will be a good opportunity to refresh all issues concerning our industry.
We wish you good health and good luck with all the challenges of the current situation.
Best Regards
