COVID-19 Legislative and Tax Relief for Manufacturing

March 31, 2020 – AICC, The Independent Packaging Association, is hosting an industry-specific webinar, COVID-19 Legislative and Tax Relief and its Impact on Manufacturing Businesses, Thursday, April 2 at 2:00 pm. This 90-minute webinar will be free to AICC members.

The webinar, featuring popular AICC speaker Mitch Klingher, CPA, Partner, Klingher Nadler, LLP, is designed for boxplant leadership and will include legislative and tax updates and information on planning for a business downturn.

As legislation is moving quickly, the review will include information about Corona Virus Preparedness and Response Supplemental Appropriations Act, Families First Coronavirus Response Act, and the Cares Act (proposed by Senator McConnell 3/19/20). As well as any other pending legislation that comes to light this week. The webinar will also cover a summary of treasury department announcements and a look at various state legislation and executive orders.

Klingher will also review business modeling for loss of sales/ margin, cost-cutting strategies, dealing with insolvent customers, and taking advantage of opportunities.

Mitch Klingher, CPA, is a partner at the CPA firm of Klingher Nadler, LLP, Fort Lee, New Jersey, where he heads up the firm’s tax and consulting departments. With over 30 years of diversified public accounting experience, Klingher specializes in paper conversion and packaging businesses and has developed industry-specific financial courses, in conjunction with AICC, for owners, controllers, and other managers. He has written numerous papers for trade publications and is a regular speaker at regional and national meetings. He also facilitates a number of CEO Groups. Klingher has an economics and business degree from Lafayette College, Easton, PA, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the NY State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
