March 19, 2021 – During its Annual Meeting on March 16, the Small Business Legislative Council (SBLC) elected AICC President Michael M. D’Angelo to its Board of Directors. “Small businesses are the heartbeat of the American economy, and trade associations are instrumental in creating a favorable policy environment to support business. Michael has contributed a strong voice on behalf of his packaging members. SBLC is fortunate to have his leadership on the board,” said Corey Rosenbusch, President & CEO, The Fertilizer Institute, and Chair of the SBLC Nominating Committee. The SBLC is an independent, permanent coalition of trade and professional associations who share a common concern for the future of small business. The purpose of SBLC is twofold: to consolidate the strength and maximize the influence of business on legislative and Federal policy issues of importance to the entire small business community; and secondly, to disseminate information on the impact of public policy on small business. “AICC does not have government affairs staff,” said D’Angelo. “The SBLC provides valuable information and influence on the goings-on in Washington. Covid, stimulus, the change in the majority party and what it means. We dutifully share this information with AICC members, and it is very helpful to them. It’s an honor for me and for AICC to serve on the SBLC Board.” Learn more about the work AICC does to support its members at www.AICCbox.org.
