2021 AICC Champion Award Recipient- Pat Szany, American Corrugated Machine Corp

AICC Champion Award Presented at SuperCorrExpo®

August 26, 2021 – AICC, The Independent Packaging Association, honored an exceptional member, Pat Szany, American Corrugated Machine Corp, during AICC/ TAPPI SuperCorrExpo, by presenting him with the AICC Champion Award.

When given the award, Szany humbly responded, "I am very appreciative of the award, but there are a lot of people who contribute their time and are deserving as well."

The AICC Champion Award is given annually to recognize an AICC member that has made outstanding contributions in furthering the Association's membership. These efforts can include recruiting new members, retaining members who may need encouragement to maintain their membership, or assistance in helping member companies increase their engagement with the Association.

Recipients of the Award are selected by the Membership & Marketing Committee Chair. All employees at AICC member companies are eligible for the award.

"The Champion Award recognizes an individual whose efforts and results stand out. Pat Szany is a longtime Associate Member and has served as Chair of our Associate Board. We salute his ability to draw us together -- to connect us. Pat never says no to a challenge, and he remains invaluable in our work to attract, connect, and retain new members," said Finn MacDonald, President, Independent II, AICC Membership & Marketing Committee Chair.

Szany has done so much to promote AICC membership to his peers, prospects, and customers. In addition to his Board service, he has volunteered his time to help AICC with numerous golf tournaments that help to engage the membership.

"I am so pleased that Pat has won the AICC Champion award. Over the years, Pat has worked tirelessly on behalf of the Association, and therefore the members, in a number of roles," said Mike D'Angelo, AICC President. "He does so much behind the scenes and away from the spotlight. But he is always there to answer the bell, with his time, suggestions, and great ideas. In fact, more often than not, he's there before the bell!"
