We are sharing with you so that you can take action and inform your representatives in the Assembly that paper-based packaging, with a strong record in recycling and reuse of fibers, does not belong in the SB 54 bill since the bill’s driving reason is the elimination of plastic waste.
California EPR Bill SB 54 to Have Hearing
Quick Take: SB 54, the California EPR bill, is moving quickly through the Assembly this month. The bill currently includes all commodities under the overarching framework.
If the bill progresses, it will be heard no later than Wednesday, June 27 in the Assembly Natural Resources Committee.
