Dear AICC Members, It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of John Franciosa on November 2, at the age of 67. John served 2 terms at AICC Canada’s President, 2002/03 and again in 2017/2018 and was our International Director for over 15 years. John was a truly devoted to AICC Canada and has helped build and develop it to what it is today. John had an extremely successful corrugated career spanning over 40 years. Starting at Domtar, John honed his sales and management skills. He later went on to Gerrity Corrugated then to Packaging Technologies as their President. John retired from McLeish Corr-a-box, which became Cascade during his tenure. I have such fond memories of John, having first met him at the beginning of my sales career at Domtar. John, a seasoned senior sales leader at Domtar always had a time to stop and say hello and offer some kind words of encouragement or advice. Starting a career in corrugated wasn’t easy, but John sure made it seem like it was! Please keep John’s wife Mona, his children Michael and Diana, Laura and Tyler and his grand-children Isabella, Sofia, Benjamin and Gwen in your prayers.
