AICC Midwest Golf Outing

On Monday, July 22, one of AICC’s most popular events occurred, the Midwest Golf Outing. Graciously hosted by Clay and Casey Shaw of Batavia Container Inc. and the tremendous staff at the St. Charles Country Club.
 
109 AICC members teed up for an al fresco lunch and a round of golf. Later, 124 members gathered for a reception and a sumptuous dinner. 53 of the attendees were representing 26 box making companies. Prizes were awarded for closest to the pin on the par 3s, and as part of a raffle. The event also raised enough money to offer two $5,000 scholarships. There were 23 applicants and after screening by the Midwest “board,” the two winners were Kennedy Dixon, daughter of Brent Dixon of Akers Packaging; and Addison Sextonson, daughter of Eric Sextonson of Ducker Ringwood Automation. Dixon will attend the University of Tennessee in the fall, and Sextonson will attend the University of Missouri.
