AICC Canada and AICC Mexico Host Meetings

On Thursday, October 16, AICC Canada held its Annual General Meeting at the Woodbine Racecourse outside of Toronto, Canada. After a meeting of the Board of Directors, AICC President George Perreira emceed an informative and fun program that began with speakers on the Canadian equivalent of the United States’ ESOP program, and an AI Panel and closed with two comedians working the room. This was followed by a networking happy hour and dinner trackside while those who wished to could bet on the ponies. With 70 attendees, it was a very strong turnout. I addition to George, AICC appreciates the efforts of AICC Canada Administrator Leah Gardiner for producing and promoting such a strong program. We also thank all the events sponsors.
 
Tuesday October 28th saw the opening event of AICC Mexico’s Annual Meeting and Trade Fair when 28 golfers teed it up for the 3rdAICC Mexico Golf Tournament. Wednesday October 29th had a daylong seminar on Lean Practices for by Quadrant 5’s Les Pickering and an AICC Mexico Women’s Seminar. The day ended with an opening reception at the trade fair that had a full house of AICC supplier member exhibitors. Day 3 opened with remarks from AICC President Jorge Ortega and a full day of inspirational and informative speakers, capped with another reception at the trade fair. Friday’s events include a plant tour at StarrCorr and an AICC Mexico Emerging Leaders barbeque. Total event attendance was 260 as AICC Mexico continues its impressive growth. In addition to Jorge, AICC thanks Administrators Veronica Reyes and Linda Silva for all their efforts in making the event so successful. Thanks also to the many sponsors of the various events.
