Leadership Advisory Group

Communicate With Peers and Learn How Others Implement Solutions to the Problems You Face Every Day

As a leader in an AICC member company, you face challenges that many others do not comprehend—the pressure to succeed, to make the right decisions, and to create a positive future for yourself and the company.

When involved in AICC programs, many of you have the opportunity to confide in others, share ideas and receive honest feedback. This group will be even more intentional in meeting its members’ specific needs for connection, education, and discreet communication. The group will include both general and associate members and may involve members of competitive companies (AICC will endeavor to avoid this possibility).

Each Leadership Advisory Group:

  • Meets on dates adjacent to AICC’s two National Meetings. The group will meet at least one additional time at a location that offers education and recreation to the members.
  • Maintains confidentiality, you can attend with confidence and your private information is never
    compromised.
  • Explores topics of mutual interest for leadership development and awareness of industry trends.
  • Creates a strong support network with continued leadership development benefiting the entire group.
  • Allows members to share personal goals and issues for insight and accountability to speed progress.

AICC is committed to developing the best Leadership Advisory Groups. We will work diligently to find the right fit for your expertise and business. The speed at which groups are formed depends upon the number of applications received. Prior to being accepted to an AICC Leadership Advisory Group, an AICC representative will contact you personally. All AICC sponsored groups are required to follow Antitrust Guidelines.

Facilitators:

Scott Ellis, Ed.D, Principal, WorkingWell, LLC
Scott has served as a resource for the development of individuals, teams, and organizations as a
consultant, teacher, psychotherapist, coach, and general manager. His pragmatic approach and demeanor are shaped as much by his years laboring in lumber mills and construction as they have been in the boardroom and the university. Scott’s most recent manufacturing experience has primarily focused on the packaging industry.

Omar Abdullah Ph. D, Director of Business Development, Guardian Computer
Omar Abdullah is a business development professional, interdisciplinary scholar, and former comedian (key word being former) located in Austin, TX. As Director of Business Development at Guardian Computer, Omar is primarily responsible for organizational growth, corporate development, and expanding brand awareness. This entails driving Guardian Computer’s strategy, sales, and marketing initiatives. Prior to Guardian Computer, Omar served as the Vice President of Marketing & Outreach at Cultivate Behavioral Health & Education, where he established a national outreach department that connected with care providers, non-profit organizations, and communities to provide resources to families navigating the autism treatment journey.

Omar was an interdisciplinary scholar and communication consultant, having taught courses at the University of California, Davis and Texas A&M University, as well as speaking at conferences and facilitating workshops at Trinity University, Georgetown University, and SXSW. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Saint Mary’s College and he earned his Ph.D. in Cultural Studies from the University of California, Davis. In his previous life as a stand-up and sketch comedian, he performed at venues across the San Francisco Bay Area where he was featured on the front page of Funny or Die and SF Sketchfest.
