Short Supply, High-Demand Drive Current North American Containerboard and Corrugated Market Conditions

For the first time in four years the North American containerboard and corrugated market is facing a supply-demand imbalance that is driving an announced linerboard and medium price increase of $50/ton effective November 1. In early October International Paper (IP) and other producers announced a $50/ton increase in containerboard prices effective with shipments November 1.
