July 9, 2019 – AICC, The Independent Packaging Association, brought nine packaging professionals from various levels at their companies to Pacific Southwest Container, LLC, in Modesto, CA to gain a better understanding of containerboard, converting, design, and more during Corrugated Packaging Fundamentals from June 19-20.
This seminar, a comprehensive, interactive exploration of corrugated packaging technologies, allowed participants to add to their previous knowledge a greater understanding raw material choices, packaging design, printing, converting, sustainability, and end use.
Attendees participated in hands-on activities that will allow them to analyze various packaging solutions, examine the performance attributes of containerboard and corrugated board, including appearance, printability, and runability in their home plants.
Participants were also given to tour the host location, Pacific Southwest Container, LLC.
Instructors Dan Malenke, President, PKGPRO, LLC, and Ralph Young, AICC Corrugated Technical Advisor, brought nearly 50 years of experience to the lectern and hands-on activities offered during the course.
