September 17, 2020 – AICC, The Independent Packaging Association, is offering a three-part hazmat webinar series: Hazmat: General Awareness & Security, Tuesday, October 6, Hazmat: Marking & Labelling, Tuesday, October 13, and Hazmat: Box Fabrication Functions, Tuesday, October 20. Additionally, AICC has a new hazmat webinar specifically for sales professionals: Hazmat Awareness for Salespeople: Value Added Opportunities in a New Sales Ecosystem, Thursday, October 8.

Customer requests for Hazmat items can be a significant source of revenue enhancement for box fabricators. Through customer retention, full line service needs, single sourcing strategies, and increased margin for this service; meeting these customer needs can be a significant revenue source and represent value for customers. To leverage this potential revenue, companies must be prepared.

When it comes to hazmat packaging, a more knowledgeable salesperson is a more effective salesperson. The ability to meet customer inquiries during a sales call can improve turn-around time and add value to customer conversations. Given the structure of US Hazardous Material Regulations (HMR), sales professionals must speak in a manner that is precise and consistent with their role in the regulatory system and their company’s policies. Hazmat Awareness for Salespeople: Value Added Opportunities in a New Sales Ecosystem will help salespeople gather relevant information and manage crucial communication.

Hazmat: General Awareness & Security will familiarize hazmat employees with the structure and concepts of the HMR.

Box converters often print regulated Marks and Labels on behalf of their customers. Hazmat: Marking & Labelling explains the requirements of 49 CFR Subparts D (Marking) and E (Labeling) of Part 172 as they apply to boxmakers.

Hazmat: Box Fabrication Functions presents an analysis of the requirements of the HMR with respect to “packaging manufacturers” as defined in the regulations, and any a boxmaker performs regulated functions on behalf of their “packaging manufacturer” customers.

Registration for the three-part webinar series is $750 for members, and Hazmat Awareness for Salespeople is $250. These webinars are part of the All Access Pass. Pass holders can use their promo code to register at no additional cost.

AICC members lower training costs and streamline payments with the All Access Pass. For one payment of $1,695, participating companies are given a code that all employees can use to register for every webinar scheduled from September 2020 - August 2021. With more than 50 webinars scheduled, the All Access Pass represents a value of $12,500. Learn more at www.AICCbox.org/Pass.
